God has made me laugh
Kuo fakatupu ‘e he ‘Otua ha kata ma‘aku
Senesi 21 (Genesis 21)
(v. 6) And Sarah said, “God has made me laugh, and all who hear will laugh with me.
(v. 6) Pea pehē ‘e Sela, Kuo fakatupu ‘e he ‘Otua ha kata ma‘aku; ‘Ilonga ha fanongo te ne kata mo au.
*Commentary: Matthew Poole*
And Sarah said, 'God hath made me to laugh, so that all that hear will laugh with me. Before, my own distrustful heart made me to laugh, now God makes me laugh, not through diffidence and irreverence, as before, chap. 18:12, but through excess of holy joy. All that hear will laugh with me; or, at me; some through sympathy rejoicing with me and for me, laughter being oft put for joy, as Isa. 54:1; Gal. 4:27, &c.; others through scorn and derision, as at a thing which well may seem incredible to them, because it did so to me. See Gen. 12:17; 18:12, 13, 15.
Pea pehē ‘e Sela, Kuo fakatupu ‘e he ‘Otua ha kata ma‘aku; ‘Ilonga ha taha ‘e fanongo ai te ne kata mo au. Kimuʻa´, naʻa ku kata ‘i heʻeku taʻe tui, ka ko eni kuo ngaohi au ‘e he ‘Otua´, ‘o ‘ikai ‘i he manuki mo e taʻe ‘apasia (18:12) ka ko e mahulu atu ‘o e fiefia faka-langi. Pea ko kinautolu te nau fanongo´, te nau kaungā fiefia mo au (‘Ais 54:1; Kal 4:27).

GOD IS . . . (KO
E ‘OTUA, ‘OKU . . )
GOD IS TRIUNE
Doctrine...
Whatever is said about the attributes of
God is true of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Therefore, if we say
that God is omnipotent, we are saying that the three persons are all equally omnipotent.
The same is true for all the divine attributes, which is why we use
"essence-appropriate” language to speak of them. The same essence means
the same power, wisdom, holiness, justice, goodness, and so forth, in the
triune God. It also means the same will. Whatever God does toward himself or
toward others
is a result of his single divine will. Therefore, the persons never "submit" to each other in their eternal, necessary relations, because they share one will, not three distinct wills.

DeleteLaughter is a contagious action, and if God allows us to be happy from just laughing with someone how amazing is that?!? Aside from laughter being good since it helps you burn calories, but I love that we can join someone in their joy from just laughing...Nowadays we need a good laugh here & there to keep us sane!!
ReplyDeleteI also love that my Lord and Savior is The Trinity!!! My dad (Faifekau Siale Wailase) is big on the different names our God has...He is the Alpha & The Omega, He is the Most High, He is the Son of God etc. and this doesn’t just mean one person, it’s referring to the Trinity! Thank you for this joyful passenger this morning 🙏🏼 Hope y’all have a great day!!! -Malia-

DeleteToday is a reminder that we should be happy and that God wants us to be happy. Laughter is contagious. I remember watching a viral video with leti of an old man laughing (dad at comedy barn) we couldn't help but laugh along and so did millions of others.
ReplyDeleteMany put blame on God for their misfortunes or health issues. Maybe, it's not God who gave you diabetes or high blood pressure. Maybe, if you stop eating a dozen donuts every morning or puaka for the last ten years you would be ok. Or in my case, maybe if I stretch before doing physical activity or do mobility exercise I wouldn't have tore my Achilles.
The lesson for me is to be happy in good time and unfortunate times.
Thank you Peni for sharing. Tuku atu pe ho'o vitio mo Leti 'i 'Olikoni hh - but seriously, our God knows us intimately and He is aware of our every mood - sometimes we act as if He only responds to our "serious" moods - but in reality, He is with us...Always. a rather frightening awareness but freeing - because of Christ, we may draw near and be ourselves in all our "colors" and faults - He works in and through us to conform us to His Image.
