OBSERVATION

Jesus is the Greek form of Joshua, which means "the Lord saves". The angel not only tells Joseph what he should name his baby son, but he also reveals what the name Jesus means.

APPLICATION

Often times people think of Jesus as a hindrance to living a better life. In reality, Jesus offers freedom because of the grace He offers as He saves us from what we deserve. Next

time you pray in Jesus' name, remember there is significance in the actual meaning of His name.

PRAYER

Heavenly Father, thank you for Jesus and the fact that He gives me freedom from the things I have done. Amen
