The
grace that Joseph offered
SCRIPTURE
"Because
Joseph her husband was faithful to the law, and yet
did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind
to divorce her quietly." Matthew
1:19
OBSERVATION
Not
only did Joseph have the option to divorce Mary, but he could
have had her killed for infidelity. But rather than get revenge
against her, he chose to show her grace. Because
Joseph
chose to give grace, it allowed for the arrival of Jesus, who
gives grace to all who accept it.
APPLICATION
Grace
is a hard thing to give to others since it is undeserved forgiveness.
However, grace is a powerful thing. Who has wronged
you in the past and doesn't deserve your
forgiveness?
Consider giving them the gift of grace today.
PRAYER
God,
give me the strength to forgive others as you have forgiven
me. Amen.
Ko e hā e ‘a e kelesi ‘o fakatatau ki ho‘o
mahino? –
(Give
your best definition of grace to the best of your understanding)

(Name a
situation that was very difficult for you to deal with, but God gave you
strength and grace to respond in a Godly way?)
