 *Commentary:  The ESV Study Bible*

The Lord has Moses tell Pharaoh several times that the purpose of the plagues is that you may know that I am the LORD (see note on 7:5). Here in the preface to the eighth plague, the Lord addresses these words to Moses and reminds him that this is also his purpose for Israel (see 6:7) - and that what is signified in the plagues will become a part of the regular celebration in Israel of who the Lord is and what he has done for his people (that you may tell in the hearing of your son and of your grandson).

  1. There’s always a reason for someone’s intentions or action and in this case the Lord used Moses to speak to Pharaoh on His behalf so that he may know the “I am Lord”!!! We serve a mighty God and don’t forget that whatever you and I do, to always remember who we serve!!! 🙏🏼💯

  2. Malo e lelei mei he toafa Arizona 😊🙏 Greetings to you all in the mighty name of our God, Jehovah
One ☝️ thing that learn from this chapter that Pharaoh show me my true colors, in v 17-18 Pharaoh trick Aron and Moses by saying he admitted that he had sins before God and a big mistakes by not letting the people of Israel go, so he ask them to pray to God of Israel to remove this plague of locusts and he will release the people of Israel and we all know that a lie. At the end sometimes that how I worship God just because I need something and when I got it I forgot about Him. But anyway with Pharaoh’s case. We never ever fool’s God, He knows what we are doing, So God’s used Pharaoh to show to the world His power, His mighty and His strength. Our God is a powerful God, nothing our God can not do

  3. You can tell that God works in many different ways. He is using Moses to tell the pharaoh all the terrible things that will happen to Egypt if he doesn’t let the Israelites go but God is hardening the pharaohs heart so that the people of Egypt and the Israelites can see how strong he is. We can see through all the disasters that God has brought upon Egypt how strong he is. We can see that there is nothing impossible to him.
