bread. The people cry for bread and meat (v. 3), and God will give both (v. 8). Manna is called the "bread of the angels" (Ps. 78:25). In John 6:26-58, Jesus calls Himself the true manna ("bread of life") of which this provision in the wilderness was a symbol and type.

This is a familiar story to us because it was in our lautohi fakasapate stories and what not to the exit from Egypt and the fononga in the wilderness for 40 years before they reached the Promise Land...This specific time when God told them He would provide bread and meat for a DAYs meal, they did what humans always do is either they don’t listen to instructions or they let their gut take advantage of a situation where they pack more than they can intake. We as humans tend to do both, but every circumstance is different. Everyone has that aunty that be fa’oing the food at every kai pola before the hikinga ua is served 🤦🏽♀️ Thinking of an aunty right now 🤣 But in all seriousness the Lord always gives us what we can handle to show us that we’re never alone and that He’s always there to continue the journey when we start to sink. Trust the Lords process and accept what He gives you. If He says I’m providing a days meal, then accept that it’s only a days meal and not fa’o more Ke ave o mafu somewhere. Jesus is the only bread we need in our lives but you gotta believe that too!!! Ofa atu and hope y’all have a great day!
ReplyDeleteThere's many instances where God provided in the form of"bread"; for Elijah when he was running from Jezebel in the wilderness. The destitute woman who provided him bread to eat and many more.
ReplyDeleteWhat we see is in our time of trouble and needs, our faith should not waver for God will provide no matter where we are at. We serve a God who commands and all will listen. He said "behold I will" and it became so. There's nothing impossible to him so solidify your faith in him and don't waver no matter how dark it gets for there will always be help in your time of need.
i think its important to note in this passage that althought following God isnt a simple path it comes with many benefits. i think its important to realize that God can do ANYTHING at ANYTIME. if he wants to make you a billionaire boom youre a billionaire if he wants you to be a preacher boom youre a preacher. i think as humans we need to realize God shouldnt have to give us anything besides his love and grace to be good christians. i think when God has a purpose to do those things he will do it. so in my head , i think its important to trust and believe in God no matter what circumstance because can open new doors for you , you nrver knew could open. our faith should not be based on things we receive but things we believe wholeheartedly.
