(v. 15-16) For by now I could have put out my hand and struck you and your people with pestilence, and you would have been cut off from the earth. But for this purpose I have raised you up, to show you my power, so that my name may be proclaimed in all the earth.

God's actions are tempered by mercy. He withholds total destruction so that the Egyptians might know His power and repent (v. 15).

In everything you allow us to go through, Lord Jesus, whether it's tribulation, trials or victories, may your name and your power be made known to us individually and to the rest of the world. Help us Lord to be in tune with you. Lead and guide us in your ways. In the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
ReplyDeleteGreat is your mercy towards me.
ReplyDeleteYour loving kindness I see day after day. What an amazing God we serve.
Imagine if God had no mercy everytime we did wrong? The fear everyone would live in just so they wouldn’t go against anything God has told us. Just thinking about this is sad because we take advantage or take for granted what God has told us Christians to do in His Word. Let us do more of what God has instructed us to do in His word and not make excuses of why we can’t!
ReplyDeleteThank You Lord for Your mercies upon me and my family 💯 Have a great day y’all!!
i think honestly from an aspect of someone who messes up quite a alot. i think the amount of everlasting power that God has is incredible. and to me in my head it shows crazy amounts of power when one can choose mercy over anger or brute power. i think ofcourse sometimes to get a point across disciplinary actions are required. but in my head to show mercy knowing people are wronging you and doing wrong by you shows a different type of power people tend to overlook. i feel like the power of mercy shows more character and more “power” then just retaliation and over”powering” foes in a humanly aspect. like imagine God wasnt merciful we would constantly be getting disciplined, and we would be living a life of fear and not of free will persay. we would constantly be living life making sure we werent wrong which would be impossible regardless since were born into a sinful state. but it reminds me today that God is powerful, God is merciful, God is everything and anything and not to take his mercy for granted. Be thankful for his mercy but understand his immense power. live everyday bettering myself for Gods kingdom, but not live in fear of mistakes. because God is forgiving
