Commentary – Richard Baxter – cont.

Ko e ‘Otuaʹ ko e Laumālie taʻetangata pea ‘ikai lava ke māvahevahe; ka ‘i he taimi tatau, kuopau ke tau tui ki he Tamaiʹ mo e ‘Aloʹ pea mo e Laumālieʹ...

Ka ‘e anga fēfē ‘etau fakamoʻoniʻi ‘oku ‘Otua ‘a e Laumalieʹ? ‘Oku papitaiso kitautolu ki he tui kiate Iaaʹ, ‘o tatau pe mo ‘etau tui ki he Tamaiʹ mo e ‘Aloʹ, ‘o tuha mo e naunau ‘o e ‘Otua tofu pē, pea ‘oku Ne maʻu mo e ngaahi ‘ulungaanga ‘o e ‘Otuaʹ ‘o fakatatau ki he Folofolaʹ.

God is one infinite, undivided Spirit; and yet that he is Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, must be believed...

How is it to be proved that the Holy Ghost is God? We are to be baptized into the belief of him as of the Father and the Son, and in that he doth the works proper to God, and hath the attributes of God in Scripture.

Fononga ‘i he ‘aho ni mo ke fakalaulauloto ki he fuʻu misiteli taumamaʻo ko eniʹ, ka ko ha akonaki mahuʻinga ke tau tui ki ai. Oh, how that the eternal God makes himself known and voluntarily take on the limitations of the material universe, through Christ, for our sake! Grateful for your mercies, dear Lord!
