POWER AND GRACE

KO E IVI MO E KELESI

EPHESIANS 2:7

so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.

‘EFESO 2:7

koe‘uhi ke ne fakahā atu ‘i he ngaahi kuonga ka hoko mai hono lahi ‘i he lahi ange fau ‘o ‘ene kelesi ‘aki ‘ene anga‘ofa kiate kitautolu ‘ia Kalaisi Sīsū.

Sola Gratia - Grace Alone - Ko e Kelesi´ pe

So much the greater concern any one has with, and dependence upon, the power and grace of God, so much the greater occasion has he to take notice of that power and grace. So much the greater and more immediate dependence there is on the divine holiness, so much the greater occasion to take notice of and acknowledge that. So much the greater and more absolute dependence we have on the divine perfections, as belonging to the several persons of the Trinity, so much the greater occasion have we to observe and own the divine glory of each of them.

That which we are most concerned with is surely most in the way of our observation and notice; and this kind of concern with anything, namely dependence, does especially tend to commend and oblige the attention and observation. Those things that we are not much dependent upon, 'tis easy to neglect; but we can scarce do any other than mind that which we have a great dependence on.

Ko e lahi ange ‘a e tokanga ‘a ha taha, mo falala, ki he ivi mo e kelesi ‘a e ‘Otua, ko e lahi ange pe ia ‘ene mahino’i mo ‘ene a’usia ‘a e ivi mo e kelesi ko ia. Ko e lahi ange ‘ete falala fakamomeniti ki he ma’oni’oni ‘a e ‘Otua, ko e tupu ai pe ‘ete mahino’i ‘a e koloa ko ia. Ko lahi ange ‘o ‘etau falala kakato ki he haohaoa faka-langi, ko e me’a ‘a e Tolu-Taha’i-’Otua, ko e tupu ai pe ia ‘etau a’usia ‘a e langilangi ‘o e Pesona ‘o e ‘Otua.

Ko e me’a ‘oku lahi taha ‘etau tokanga ki ai, ko e me’a pe ia ‘e hu’u ki ai hotau loto; pea ko e fa’ahinga tokanga ko eni ‘o ha me’a pe, hange ko e falala, ‘oku ne ako’i kitautolu mo ne fakamasila ‘etau mo’ui fekau’aki mo e me’a ko ia. Ko e ngaahi me’a ‘oku ‘ikai ke tau fakafalala ki ai, ‘oku faingofua ke tau fakali’eli’aki. Ka ko e me’a ‘oku tau hu’u ki ai ‘etau falala mo ‘etau tokanga, ko e me’a pe ia ‘e nofo ai hotau loto.
