“Victory, Victory shall be mine”
Then I heard a loud voice saying in
heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the
power of His Christ have come, for the
accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night,
has
been cast down. – Revelation 12:10
God’s Broken Image
Salvation
7)
We conquer in His Name (Rev 12:10)
Have you ever been wrongly accused? Blamed or falsely reported for
something you did not do? Well, most of us have been there, one way or another.
We may even be the accuser of others. But according to our text for today, we
have an accuser that specializes and is an expert in twisting facts and
fabricating lies to lay blame and bring false report (of any kind) before the
God of the universe. Yes, the devil, Satan, the dragon, the snake and every
other name he goes by… he is the accuser of our brethren… for
someone who does hates God and His righteousness, he certainly makes time to go
before the Holy One to bring accusations against us!
But hallelujah, thanks be to God for he has been cast down! In the End,
WE WIN! Yes, indeed…we have read the end of the book and we win…THE END. What a
comfort to know, that we don’t have to live in fear. We cannot and must not
allow the enemy to intimidate us with falsehood. For there is nothing in him,
but lies, for he is the father of lies (John 8:44).
The power of Christ has come… why suffer in silence or alone? The power
is available to us. We possess Christ through the Holy Spirit. He applies His
Word to us. The power that resides in us, like dynamite, is able to bring down
strongholds. Believe it. Trust it. Rely on it. Claim it. Rest in it.
Challenge: there’s a
saying, “when the devil reminds you of your past (to accuse you) remind him of
his future (he will be cast down and destroyed)”
This Day in Christian History:
Jan 23, 1837 – birthday of Amanda Smith. She was born into slavery but the hard work of her
father, Samuel Berry, paid off and freed all his children. Amanda grew up with
the same work ethic, which expanded into witnessing and preaching as a Methodist
revivalist. She gained a name for herself and travelled around the States as
well as overseas. She organized various groups and built an orphanage near
Chicago. She was called, “God’s image carved in ebony.”

Therefore, take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to
