BY FAITH EMBRACE THE PROMISE
PUKE KI HE PALOMESI ‘I HE TUI
GALATIANS
3:24-25
So then, the law was our guardian until Christ came, in order that we might be justified by faith. But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian,

Sola Fide - Faith Alone - Ko e Tui´ pe
The perpetual succession of the church has flowed from this fountain, that the holy fathers, one after another, having by faith embraced the offered promise, were collected together into the family of God in order that they might have a common life in Christ. This we ought carefully to notice, that we may know what is the society of the true church, and what is the communion of faith among the children of God.
Whereas Moses was ordained the teacher of the Israelites, there is no doubt that he had an especial reference to them, in order that they might acknowledge themselves to be a people elected and chosen by God; and that they might seek the certainty of this adoption from the covenant which the Lord had ratified with their fathers, and might know that there was no other God, and no other right faith. But it was also (God's] will to testify to all ages, that whosoever desired to worship God aright, and to be deemed members of the church, must pursue no other course than that which is here prescribed.

PRAISE GOD FOR HIS PROVIDENCE! WE GIVE GLORY FOR THE ROAD HE IS LEADING US THROUGH.
ReplyDeleteP - today's PLOT Gal 3:24-25. I am introducing another "P" to the mix. P - PROMISE. After you list the text for the day, read the verse or verses and identify a Promise (a truth). This is what we talked about in camp - the "Indicative" - I'm including it here to add to the "P" column to keep everything together. Another P - is PROCLAMATION - SORRY FOR THIS, BUT I AM TWEAKING Our Plan to help us all. So, no need to look for "nouns" & "verbs" - I think its more confusing - JUST READ THE VERSE AND IDENTIFY A "PROMISE" (A TRUTH) OR "PROCLAMATION" ( A COMMAND - FEKAU)
"Promise" - Christ has come. We are set free. We are justified by faith.
L - "LINK" - I AM CHANGING THIS AS WELL, SO HERE IS WHERE YOU WOULD THINK A LITTLE... LINK, MEANS TO LINK THIS VERSE TO PREVIOUS VERSES OR FOLLOWING VERSES... CONTEXT! Like today's verse, it talks about the LAW being a guardian - Go back to the previous verses and see how this worked, and write about it. If there is a verse you know that has a similar meaning, you would mention it here. LINK is important because it TIES THE THOUGHTS OR IDEAS/THEOLOGY TOGETHER.
"Link" - the Law was our guardian - it kept us in check and pointed us to Christ.
O - ONTOLOGY ('OTUA) - Christ is our Justifier! He is our Freedom.
W - WE (WORKER/US) - I am grateful that I was kept in check by the Law until Christ came.
***I REALLY DO HOPE AND PRAY THAT YOU WILL DEVOTE MORE TIME TO OUR DAILY DEVOTIONAL AND STAY ENGAGED***
