A WELCOME GUEST

‘OKU TALITALI FIEFIA KOE

GALATIANS 5:1

It is for freedom that Christ has set us free.

KALETIA 5:1

KO E tau‘atāina koā na‘e fakatau‘atāina kitaua ki ai ‘e Kalaisi? Pe‘i mou tu‘u ma‘u ai, pea ‘oua te mou toe mo‘ua ‘i he ‘ioke fakapōpula.

Sola Scriptura - Scripture Alone - Ko e Folofola´ pe

This "liberty" makes us free to heaven's charter--the Bible. Here is a choice passage, believer: "When thou passest through the rivers, I will be with thee." You are free to that. Here is another: "The mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed, but my kindness shall not depart from thee”; you are free to that. You are a welcome guest at the table of the Promises.

Scripture is a never-failing treasury filled with boundless stores of grace. It is the bank of heaven; you may draw from it as much as you please, without let or hindrance. Come in faith and you are welcome to all covenant blessings. There is not a promise in the Word which shall be withheld. In the depths of tribulations let this freedom comfort you; amidst waves of distress let it cheer you; when sorrows surround thee let it be thy solace. This is thy Father's love-token; thou art free to it at all times.

  1. By “freedom,” this verse means that we can serve others in the name of the Lord and reap the reward of joy that comes from it (Galatians 5:13-15). And by “Christ has set us free.”
Christ has freed us from sin, condemnation, and death (Romans 6:22).

    1. Malo Seta! Re-read the entire verse - before u can serve, you must “stand”! Know your position in Christ. That is your confidence - the work of Christ that secured your freedom!

  3. "CONTEXT" - if you don't know what this word means, learn to know and be very familiar with it! CONTEXT is key to reading the Bible! By context, we mean, what the verse was intended for. Examples: audience, setting, history, surrounding events ect. So, whenever you come across a verse or a word - always ask, "WHO" is being addressed? Who is speaking? "WHAT" is the issue? What relevant information near the verse (read back to previous verses and forward after the verse you are considering) "WHY" is the verse (message) being communicated? Why should I be concerned or encouraged by its message? "WHEN"? Is there a time reference for this command? When will the prophesy happen (if applicable)? "HOW" doe this verse affect God's nature, promise or will? How should I respond?

These are more ways for all of us to deepen our interaction with Scripture!

  4. It is for freedom,
What was the purpose? goal? For what? Is it because it's our choice?
It doesn't say its for peace, or for love, happiness, joy, forgiveness, etc. It's for freedom itself according to today's verse. Than Everything else comes after.

    Christ set us free,
Who set us free? GOD! Not our parents or our friends, coworkers, boyfriend or girlfriend, teacher etc. They might have been able to help in a process here on earth. for example to free us from debt, prison, detention, troubles, struggles, from making wrong choices etc but that's not everything. true freedom is in HIM alone. He has the power and key that can set us free from anything we face or going through in life. No matter how big or small it is we face

Thank you Father for the freedom to live, to love, to dream, to work etc. Without you i would've not be where i am at now. Thank you for the freedom of choice in life. Sometimes i just let things tie me down that i feel trap but your words reminded me today we have the freedom to everything because your son has already free us

    1. Praise the Lord! No man is free unless and until he is freed by Christ!! Oh, what a blessing! Those who are not “in Christ” may have an “appearance” of freedom but are still in bondage to sin!

Whatever circumstances we find ourselves now, and whatever condition we may be in - God is at work to do of His good pleasure. But I have the assurance that my chains have been broken by Christ, the Conquerer! And we are more than conquerors with Him 🙌🏼😊🙏🏼

  5. It is---to identify
For Freedom--pinnacle emotion, carefree, purpose worth fighting for. Mission and the end goal. Having free will without limitation
Christ--the son of God. Our redeemer
    Set---prepare,
    Us---his children, humankind
Free---without attachment, given our receive without obligation or alternative.
This verse was written for all humankind. It is love that God has for us his children that he gave his son Jesus for a purpose. And that purpose is Freedom.
We were bound for eternal damnation for our sins but out of love God gave Jesus to set us free from those sins.

    1. Malo e “breakdown” 😃

After you breakdown the verse and meditate on it and worship God with your cup “running over” - you take on the day. Some time later - return and read the commentary and see if you can pick up additional perspective on the verse to add to your “quiver” 😊👍🏼
