TO KNOW CHRIST
KA U ‘ILO ‘A ‘ENE ‘AFIO (KALAISI)
PHILIPPIANS
3:10
I want to know Christ - yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death.
FILIPAI
3:10
ka u ‘ilo ni ‘a ‘Ene ‘Afio,

Sola Scriptura - Scripture Alone - Ko e Folofola´ pe
We should be wise, that we may learn to know Christ rightly and to know that His kingdom is nothing else than a hospital where lie the sick and languishing, who need to be nursed. But this knowledge very few receive; this wisdom is very deeply hidden; so that, oftentimes, those who are partakers of the Gospel and of the Spirit are very deficient in it. For this is the highest wisdom that can be had.
Wherefore, although men look into the Scriptures and see that those Scriptures extol the kingdom of Christ, and say what a splendid thing it is, yet they do not clearly see what the words really mean, nor do they observe that in this lies the true wisdom, which far surpasses all human wisdom. For our wisdom is not ours in order to deal with the wise, the prudent and clever people, and talk about it and preach it, but to deal with fools and imprudent men and win them to it so that they attain unto righteousness and a sound understanding.
MARTIN LUTHER

ReplyDeleteWas this your test trial? Glad you finally made it into the blog. Malo sii talangofua. Love ya leti🙏🏻
DeleteI think its important message for us to understand. I think comprehension is very important in reading the bible of at least trying to comprehend. If we do not understand what we are believing in and following how is it possible for us to bring others to the light, which is as christians one of our major goals. I also love the reminder that were trying to help people in need and not those already getting things together. It just reminds us that we always have to be on our game and continue to dive deep into the bible.
ReplyDeleteYes & amen to diving deep into the Bible; the vault - the treasure chest - the most rewarding exploration into God’s heart and wisdom 🙏🏼

DeleteThank you for today's devotion.
ReplyDeleteToday's devotion is a reminder and a lesson for me. I read the scripture over and over and asked myself these questions,
Do i want to know God? Yes!of course i do 100% no doubt. I want to know Him.
How or what do i need to do to know him? By seek him through his words.
Do i do this? Sometimes and no.
Than how in the world am i going to know him if I don't do the work?
For example, to be good at something i need to do the work. Not by being lazy and expect someone to do it for me.
In order for me to know him; i need to spend time with him in seeking his words and dig deeper to know the mysteries behind it, believe it, pray, meditate etc and follow through with actions and not just words.

DeleteEvery decision has a reaction. When we decide to know Jesus we order
ReplyDeletePursue with every way possible to fully understand who he is. Solopani had a wonderful example of the treasure chest. Most people including myself often time only do the bare minimum just to say I read the Bible today, but today reminds me if I really want to find the treasure in the chest I need to dive deeper and explore so that I'm not knowing Jesus on a surface level.
We all see it in treasure hunting movies. Many people search but never find the treasure and only one person finds it because they spent time to search for clues and finding the map that leads to the treasure. And that map for us christians, is the Bible.
Ikai ketau ilo pe koe ha me'a oku Tuai ai ke vahe'i atu ha'o malanga 😇👀🤣 Cheers to the future❣️

ReplyDeleteI know this is a eye opener for me because it’s reminding me that I need to start reading his word more and applying it to myself. It’s important that I actually read it and learn from it. I know most of the times I’m being told to memorize it as a verse but I don’t actually see how the Bible has a lot of words that can help me. It’s easy for me to say I know the word because it’s what I grew up with. But is it something I live by? Or something that I take into consideration when I go through problems. I need to start listening and reading his word more often & realize the Bible has the answers I need.
Good to see you Sets. Keep up the good work
DeleteMalie Seta! So proud of you for showing up! It's wonderful to see! Keep up the effort! Keep up the praying and seeking ❤️

ReplyDelete💖 see! And that's where it all begins😉 Keep it up! No going back now lol💕
DeleteIn order for us to be the light unto others. We have to know the source. (Christ) He gave us His word as our roadmap. If we don’t use it and really seek out Christ, than what we share is not real or authentic.
ReplyDeleteLove it Bob❤️ Building that cornerstone one brick at a time! 🧱🧱
DeleteBetter late than never, huh. As they say… anyway I still wanted to comment after failing a couple of times. I think that may have been a lesson in itself as well, because it stood out to me the part of suffering and believing in the Christ that died for us. Christ had to endure persecution and suffering. Why do we as “Christians” try to have the good life when we forget that as His people, we try to forget that part or not want to experience it. Becoming like Christ, means being stripped of our flesh. The flesh that makes us sinners and prone to sin, but saved by His spirit within us. Oof, may I just say that is another reminder. This walk, especially as a young adult is not meant to be easy. Surrendering our so called young adult path to Him, is what can only make it more worthwhile. Amen. Thank You Jesus! - Noa
