“You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”

16:15 who do
you say that l am. The "you" is
plural. Peter answers on behalf of the Twelve, and his confession of Jesus'
identity sets the church apart from those outside its community, even those who
admire Him from a distance.
16:16 Christ. Peter declares that Jesus is the Messiah
and king prophesied in the OT (1:1).
the Son of the
living God. In the OT, the anointed king is called a "son" of
God (2 Sam. 7:14; Ps. 2:7). Israel as a
whole is also God's "son" (Ex. 4:22), and Jesus fulfills this status
of Israel. As applied to Jesus, the title reflects Jesus' unique relation to
the Father (11:27; 21:38)
Jesus is my Lord and Savior!!! If you’re questioning God then that means you’re not in the Word as often as you should or you’re just not talking to God enough. I’m still learning and striving to be better 🙏🏼
