VERSES:
Deuteronomy 29:29
The
secret things belong to the LORD our God, but the things that are revealed
belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this
law.

Esther
decided to intervene for her people. The stakes were high. Even the queen could
be put to death for entering the king's presence without an invitation. So
Esther prepared through fasting and praying. The Jewish people did the same.
After three days, Esther entered the king's court, inviting the king and Haman
to a banquet. Her patience gave time for God to work out the details of His
plan for salvation. Time and again in Scripture, we are reminded that God
orchestrates even the seemingly insignificant moments of our lives to bring Him
glory. Whereas Haman was expect to be honored by his enemy Mordecai, it was
Mordecai who would be publicly by Haman. Throughout, we are reminded of God's
sovereign control over the details of our lives. As you reflect on the picture
of God in these chapters, remember that God is in control of your life, which
means you can trust Him wholeheartedly.Through God's use of Isaiah, the
Israelites were convicted of their sins, recognized God's faithful love, and
prayed for Him to again look with favor upon them Isa. 63-64). The book closes
with God's response to Israel's prayer, which was a final reminder of His
faithful love and their repeated disobedience. God used Isaiah to tell the
people that they would be punished for their sins but that they would also be
restored to Him, and eventually, that restoration would be eternal. As a result,
people everywhere would recognize God for who He is and serve and worship Him
in response. From the vision of the future in Revelation, we are reminded that one
day this eternal worship will be a reality for all of God's people. And so, in
the meantime, we are to serve God and live for Him today.
