Siosiua 21 (Joshua 21)
(V. 1-3) Then the heads of the fathers’ houses of the Levites came to Eleazar the priest and to Joshua the son of Nun and to the heads of the fathers’ houses of the tribes of the people of Israel. And they said to them at Shiloh in the land of Canaan, “The Lord commanded through Moses that we be given cities to dwell in, along with their pasturelands for our livestock.” So by command of the Lord the people of Israel gave to the Levites the following cities and pasturelands out of their inheritance.

Christ’s Dependence
The independence of God means he is able to give life even to the God-man. In his incarnate state, Christ only spoke the words the Father gave to him (John 12:49). Christ even claimed that he could do nothing of his own accord, but only what he sees the Father doing" (John 5:19).
Christ, who, according
to his divine nature, is eternally and unchangeably independent (1 John 5:20),
became dependent on the Father in order that his children might share in that
dependence. As such, Christ becomes our life (Col. 3:4). The independence of God
necessitated the dependence of the God-man in his earthly state and forever
demands the dependence of all those who are united to Christ.
